J.T. Johnson is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, having joined the firm in 2004.  Mr. Johnson's practice focuses on all areas of real estate law, including assisting land owners in property development, contract and lease drafting and negotiation, formation and representation of property owners’ associations, drafting of covenants and restrictions, and the closing of residential and commercial transactions.  He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Glynn County Bar Association.  Mr. Johnson was named a "Georgia Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2009.

A native of St. Simons Island and a graduate of Glynn Academy, Mr. Johnson attended the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance.  He remained in Athens for law school, earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia School of Law.  During his third year of law school, Mr. Johnson prosecuted cases in the Morgan County Superior Court as a participant in the Prosecutorial Clinic.

Mr. Johnson is licensed to practice law in Georgia.  He serves on the board of directors for the Care Net Pregnancy Center of Coastal Georgia, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the St. Simons Island Club Property Owners’ Association, and is active in the St. Simons Community Church.  He also serves as on an advisory board for the Kappa Alpha Order at the University of Georgia .  While at the University of Georgia, Mr. Johnson was selected for membership in the Gridiron Secret Society, the Seven, and the Order of the Greek Horsemen.
