Stephen V. Kinney
Stephen V. Kinney is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Â Mr. Kinney has extensive experience in commercial, construction, and real estate litigation. Â He also has significant expertise in eminent domain matters. Â Prior to joining Gilbert Harrell, Mr. Kinney was an associate with the firm of Tisinger Vance, P.C., in Carrollton, Georgia.
Mr. Kinney is admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia as well as before the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia. Â He has served as a member of the Ethics and Professionalism Committee of the Georgia Bar's Young Lawyers Division.
Mr. Kinney earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2001.  In law school, he was a member of the Mock Trial Board and participated in the Prosecutorial Clinic. Ms. Kinney received his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in History from the University of Georgia in 1998.  As an undergraduate, he was a member of the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and served as the fraternity's Philanthropy Chairman.
Mr. Kinney is married to Tara Pennington Kinney and has two daughters, Mary Grace and Elsie.
