Jeffrey S. Ward is a partner in the firm's Litigation and Governmental Practice Groups.  Mr. Ward has experience in many areas of business and tort litigation, including healthcare defense, construction litigation, personal injury defense, contractual disputes, and toxic tort defense.  He has successfully represented individuals and business clients in both state and federal courts. Mr. Ward has received an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, indicating preeminent legal ability and the highest ethical standards.

Mr. Ward has been licensed to practice law in Georgia since 2002.  He has been selected as a "Georgia Rising Star" by Super Lawyers in 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011.  He has been appointed to the State Bar of Georgia Advisory Committee on Legislation (2004-05) and the State Disciplinary Review Panel (2005-2011).  Mr. Ward has been selected as a Fellow by the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia.  He has also been appointed as the District Representative for the University of Georgia Younger Law Alumni Committee (2004-06).  Mr. Ward serves on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and is a member of the American Bar Association and Brunswick Bar Association.

Mr. Ward is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law.  Prior to law school, he worked for five years as a private environmental consultant.  Mr. Ward handled wetland delineation, mitigation consultations, and negotiations with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  He earned his B.A. in political science, cum laude, from Mankato (now Minnesota) State University and also holds an M.S. in Environmental Resource Management from Arizona State University.

Mr. Ward is a deacon at St. Simons Presbyterian Church.  He has participated in the Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce Leadership Glynn Program and served on the Board of Directors of the Glynn Community Crisis Center (2005-10) and the local chapter of the Georgia Bulldog Club.  Mr. Ward is married to Martha Greer Ward and has two children.
